A display panel will be allocated for each poster. Posters will be A0 paper size (840 mm by 1188 mm, portrait format only). Congress Secretariat will supply dual scotch tape to attach the poster to the panel but you are more than welcome to bring your own dual scotch with you. No pens, pins or writing materials may be used on the display panel.
Posters must be ligible from a distance of at least 2 meters. Heading and subtitles should have the smallest letters in 80-point font (lowercase 12 mm, capitals 17 mm), in the text the smallest letters should be at least 36-point font (lowercase 7 mm, capitals 9 mm) with a line thickness of 1 mm.
Each poster will have a single, easy to follow message, be readable in a few minutes, eye-catching, have logical layout and include authors names and addresses. Use colour pictures, graphs and diagrams in preference to tables.
Avoid exessive details and keep the number of words to a minimum. Use only key phrases or points.
During your poster session, you are expected to be present to answer questions regarding your poster.
If you have a poster presentation, please check if your poster should be mounted for the first or the second poster session. Please make sure that you mount your poster on the correct poster board.
Posters for Symposia 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 14 are scheduled for the first poster session.
Posters for Symposia 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 are scheduled for the second poster session.
The abstracts of all poster presentations will be included in the Congress CD Rom. Each delegate will receive a CD Rom, together with the abstract book with oral presentations in the Congress bag delivered at the registration in Turin.
The organizers take no responsibility for posters left behind.
If you wish to print your poster in Turin, there are some copy shops around the Politecnico. We will update a list in the next days, because many of them are currently closed for holidays.
A copy shops that are already open and could print posters are "I Papiri" (Via Cristoforo Colombo 44, tel. 011-595810) and "Eliografica Speedy" (Via Giovanni da Verazzano 20, tel. 011-503220), just a couple of blocks from the congress venue.
They would need a couple of hours to print your poster and the cost would be between 12 and 20 euros, depending on how much colour you have on your poster.
